As an established groupage freight operator we have the skills and experience to handle your belongings safely and securely to almost any destination worldwide.
Since its inception over 20 years ago our company has quickly established itself as a Specialist Groupage Freight Fowarder particularly to Mauritius, Seychelles and Reunion Island for both Seafreight and Airfreight but this does not mean that we do not cater for other destinations. We offer a general shipping service as well.
With Goldwing International you can choose to send your personal effects by Sea or by Air or in case of certain European destinations by Road. Under some circumstances it may be cheaper to dispatch your goods by air if the volume is small.
Cost for Seafreight are based on Volume i.e the space your consignment takes within the shipping container whilst Cost for Air freight are based on both size and weight. On some occasions Volumetric weight are charged as opposed to actual weight if the volume of the box is greater than the weight of the item inside.
If you are planning to ship goods abroad, you have a number of different options. We offer 20ft and 40 ft containers for your own use where all your household goods/Personal effects and even your car can be carefully loaded as well and the whole container is consigned to you.
We also have frequent shared container services (LCL) for smaller volume of goods and charges are based on space taken within the container.
You may decide to use a 20ft container for just your car or the alternative method is in a shared container where you car will be loaded and will be protected by a timber frame. Charges are again based on the space taken by the car within the container.
Certain Destinations are served by Roll on/Roll off service commonly known as RO/RO. Such vessels are purpose built car carriers. Cars are loaded on decks and are secured by straps and chocks. Such type of service operate only once or twice a month and the transit time can also be longer.
Extra large trucks /plants etc are too big to be loaded into a container, therefore they need to be shipped by special containers called “Flat Racks” or Roll on /Roll off. The rates for these types of cargo are calculated on the size and weight of the item. You only pay for the space taken, so we will need the dimensions/weight before we can give you a quote. These must be accurate as they are measured again and weighed upon receipt at the port.
The majority of International shipments arrive at their destinations free of damage or loss, however in the event of a calamity occurring whilst in transit, you will at least have the peace of mind knowing that your goods are insured.
